Hi Guys, Last few pics for this thread. The jury is still out at the moment but i think this may be my last Wheelsday unless it returns more to it's old format. Cheers. Russ.

Thanks for posting, from what I've read elsewhere on the web by the SSR they were restricted by the land owner (MOD) to only 500 cars on the show field. It's a shame also I think the weather played a part in keeping the numbers down from those show cars with tickets hence there was a call out over the tannoy to allow those in from the car parks.
I'll continue with Wheels Day as I'm a creature of habit... but also it had grown into a mammoth one day show helped by a few dry and sunny Good Fridays and I did find it quite tiring. I think it'll grow a bit more but perhaps not to the proportions seen in the last few years. I like Rushmoor, it is an easy site to get to for me though not great when wet due to boggy conditions.

Hi Dom, As i understand it the restriction on numbers was down to SSR (see the link below " WE have taken the decision to release 500 pre-book tickets etc etc"). surreystreetrodders.com/wheelsday/Although the weather is beyond anyones control with around half the 500 entries not turning up it made for a very empty showfield, unfortunately i think that will just be another nail in the coffin for the show in the long term. With the numbers restricted to about 20% of a normal year i don't suppose the MOD only charged 20% of the normal price to book the field, likewise i don't suppose the stall holders paid 20% for their pitches either, but i bet their takings were down. Anyway i will wait and see what is proposed for next year before i deceide whether to go or not, being about a 250 mile round trip for me the show needs to be worth the effort and cost involved. Cheers. Russ.

I see your point Russ, also for a 250 mile round trip I can understand even more.
A 250 mile round trip for me would get me to London and back or to the other side of Exeter the other way. Its like when I go to the Pod, it's a 150 mile / 2¾ hour road trip and has to be value for money, ie good weather to see some racing and pit stuff. Oh well, see what will come of the show, I hope for the best...
