Castle Roadsters would stand and preen, Although now with age we mostly lean. We sit and put the world to rights, Mostly on Tuesday nights. Rain or shine we’ll be there, Standing out in the evening air. This is not a place for the meek, As we break up our working week, The rumble of a flat head Ford, Has a way to strike a cord. Sitting under summer sky, No, bye, bye Miss American Pie. Was Pete really in a Chevy, Whilst waiting for his ice cold bevy. Could it be, Good God, Oh Lord! And he an advocate of Ford! The banter will always fly, As swifts dart in the evening sky. Nick, Ray, Spike and Tim, To rhyme I think we need a Jim! Tim, Paul, Anthony and Pete, Seemed to finish off quite neat. Not Forgetting Nigel Speed, Or Simon, that would be bad indeed. The Castle Roadsters is a Car Club, We all meet down at Rubin’s Pub. Cars spanning over sixty years, Our History, our dreams with no fears. But we will never be heard to mumble, As long as all our engines rumble.

Hi Bob, Nige isn't one for computers as a general rule he is much better out in the garage with the spanners and the welder. I first met Nige at the pod some 25 years ago and as we were both running FD Victors back then we had common ground and we have remained friends ever since. Nige's sleeper Humber Hawk running a Ford 302 and AOD on LPG Cheers. Russ.

Hi Bob,
Those early hawks do have more than a passing resemblance to a 55 Chevy. I posted a few pics of this car up on some american forums last year and some of the guys were convinced these were GM products based on a 55.
Nige has also got another one of these but it is in poor shape compared to this one, he was thinking about turning it in to a gasser for a bit of fun, although that may be a way off as he already has 3 other projects on the go.
Cheers.
Russ.
